Sterile system for wound debridement and cleansing of peri-lesional area

Debridement removes dead, devitalized or contaminated tissue and any foreign material from a wound, helping to reduce the number of microbs, toxins and other substances that inhibit healing.
Foreign bodies, including soft necrotic tissue, bone fascia, nonviable muscle and ligaments have been shown to reduce host immune defenses and encourage active infection.
Further, as recommended by EWMA, debridement does not only refer to the removal of bioburden from the wound bed, but also the liberation of wound edges as well as of peri-wound skin.
Proper cleansing of the wound and peri-wound area with a safe, yet effective product, is extremely important.
